What is the Ramos Gin Fizz cocktail recipe?
The Ramos Gin Fizz has long been one of the world’s favourite cocktails, since 1888 no less. Pioneered by a New Orleans bar, this cocktail used to be shaken for 110-15 minutes…today a minute or so is suffient. Don’t be put off by the recipe combining so many incongruous ingredients…this is an absolute banger of a cocktail.
How to make the Pineapple Old Fashioned cocktail recipe
1. Combine gin, simple syrup, heavy cream, lemon and lime juices, orange flower water, and egg white in a shaker. Shake vigorously without ice for 10-15 seconds.
2. Add ice to the shaker and shake for a minimum of 15 seconds, ensuring thorough chilling.
3. Strain into a Collins glass.
4. Pour a little bit of soda back and forth between the empty halves of the shaker tins to pick up any remaining cream and egg white, then use that to top the drink.
Garnish with an orange disk
