Inspired by New York City’s famous cocktail culture, Hyde & Co is one of Bristol’s original Prohibition speakeasy cocktail bars. With no signage and a doorbell upon entry this unique, hidden experience celebrates the infamous drinking dens of Bristol – both past and present.

The venue is full of atmosphere and character, with a Great Gatsby, Gentleman’s Club vibe. The award-winning extensive cocktail menus might seem daunting at first, but the friendly staff guide you through and give recommendations like no other.

A contemporary take on the classic speakeasy, this NYC inspired cocktail bar transports you back into the 1920’s. The venue is embellished with Prohibition posters, vintage light shades and exposed brickwork yet, is still modern and classy, with a fun atmosphere.

Their menu has over 90 cocktails to choose from made with locally sourced fruits and botanicals; including their speciality CBD infused connotations. What puts this family-run bar at the top of the list is the live music – supporting both local and international musicians, it really makes the night.

 

Brozen Bar

“Outstanding service – amazing cocktails and perfect atmosphere!”

Sip cocktails in beautiful surroundings at this Spanish inspired bar. The drinks menu is extensive, but the passionate staff give great recommendations of what to go for. Not only are the cocktails amazing, the Tapa’s are just as impressive.

If Sherry is your tipple of choice they have a wonderful selection, and if not, Bar 44 might just change your mind on that. There’s a great buzz and ambience, so if you enjoy high-end top ingredients from Spain, you’ll love it here.

 

The Florist

This botanical themed bar is situated in an interesting Victorian building with modern twists. Offering live music and a fresh vibe over three storeys, The Florist fulfils all of your Instagram-worthy cocktail needs.

 

The Rummer

The Rummer is not only one of Bristol’s best bars but is also and micro-distillery found in the oldest part of the city. A pioneer of the Bristol cocktail scene, with multiple awards – the venue has well over 500 premium gins, rums and whisky to try. The cocktail menu is varied with a few takes on the classics which are exceptional.

It has a great laid back, relaxed vibe, with a large log fire and comfy sofas. You might also be interested to know that Bristol’s newest gin distillery is located in the basement. This bar ticks all of the boxes.

 

The Gold Bar

Loose Cannon

The decor is quirky, the music is chilled and the staff are welcoming. Found in the heart of the Harbourside, Loose Cannon is one to brag about to your friends.

 

Aluna

With the aim to deliver great cocktails and tunes to create ‘the best night out in Bristol’. FCC was awarded Best Cocktail Bar in Bristol by 365Bristol by having knowledge and passion for all things cocktail related.

The drinks are eccentric and served in very creative ways, and you will always find something you fancy on the menu. Bristol has many hidden cocktail bars but on the flipside, if you’re into simplicity but quality and looking for a good time, then this is the bar for you.
