Ingredients
40ml KAH Tequila Blanco
10ml Cointreau
10ml Watermelon Homemade Syrup
15ml Lime Juice
How to make the Watermelon Margarita
Firstly cut a lime into four equal wedges.
Squeeze one wedge into your shaker giving you 15ml lime juice.
Then pour in 10ml of watermelon syrup.
You can use any orange liqueur, we went for Cointreau – add 10ml into your shaker.
Finally, add your tequila.
We opted for KAH tequila, a double distilled, un-aged Tequila made from 100% blue agave.
Add ice to your shaker, seal it up, and shake for 15-20 seconds.
Finally, strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass.
Garnish
Lime wedge
About Kah Tequila
We love spirits with a sense of the theatrical about them, and KAH tequila’s unique skull design is absolutely mesmerising.
The design is inspired by the Day of the Dead celebration which occurs in November each year.
In traditional Bolivian culture, during the celebration actual skulls of loved ones are kept and brought out to honour the dead.
After being taken to the cemetary, skulls are symbolically given tequila, which is thought to immortalise the dead, who in return protect the living from spirits.
The Day of the Dead is celebrated in many countries, including Mexico, where tequila is made.
The Taste
KAH tequila blanco has a sweet taste which is followed by a peppery spice.
Silky and delicate, a range of spices warms the palate.
It’s a great sipping tequila, and a fantastic cocktail ingredients for drinks like our watermelon margarita.
