After launching in 2017 Edinburgh Cocktail Week has quickly become one of Scotland’s most exciting cocktail events with over 20,000 people attending each year.
Whether you’re an Edinburgh local or are looking for the perfect weekend getaway, here’s what you can expect from the event.
When is Edinburgh Cocktail Week 2022?
Edinburgh Cocktail Week runs from Friday 7th October to Sunday 16th October 2022 with wristband wearers get access to a load of cocktail related goodies.
Here’s our rundown of what’s on offer…
120 Signature £5 Cocktails
This year a whopping 120 bars are taking part in Edinburgh Cocktail Week with each bar offering a unique Edinburgh Cocktail Week cocktail.
Discerning drinks can enjoy for just £5 with an ECW wristband.
As well as this, nine “prestige” venues including some of the UK’s best cocktail bars Panda and Sons and Hey Palu will offer an elevated cocktail experience curated by some of the world’s best bartenders.
You can buy a wristband for each of the weekends in October, weekday passes or for the ultimate cocktail completionist you can grab a pass for the whole run.
Weekend 1 – £8.50 (valid Friday 7th – Sunday 9th Oct)
Weekday – £8.50 (valid Monday 10th – Thursday 13th Oct)
Weekend 2- £8.50 (valid Friday 14th – Sunday 16th Oct)
Ten Day – £25.00 (valid Friday 7th – Sunday 16th Oct)
Wine and Dine
As well as the bars listed above, foodies with an Edinburgh Cocktail Week wristband can enjoy complementary cocktails at some of the Scottish capitals leading restaurants including El Cartel, Superico, Luckenbooths, Dine and Heron.
21 Pop Up Bars Cocktail Village
120 bars not enough for you? The heart of Edinburgh Cocktail Week is the Cocktail Village, where you can try amazing £5 cocktails from leading brands.
That snazzy ECW wristband comes in handy here, giving you free access to the village and £5 cocktails from Grey Goose Vodka, Havana Club, Kopparberg, London Essence and more.
That’s as well as live music, street food, cocktail masterclasses, and experiential spaces for you to explore.

Mirror Mirror Bar
Mirror, mirror, on the wall. What is the greatest cocktail experience of them all?
At Edinburgh Cocktail Week the showstopping experience is the Mirror Mirror Bar, a pop-up exclusive to the event situated on the rooftop of the Glasshouse Hotel.
In a shimmering neon space, whisper your cocktail order to the mirror wall and watch amazed as your £5 cocktail magically appears through the looking glass.
Tickets for this are £15 which gets you entry to this amazing bar, two cocktails and a 90-minute reservation.
Of course, you can always order more cocktails for just £5.
Created by one of the UK’s most loved gin Whitley Neill, this is an experience you can’t miss.

Dramming in the Dark by Glenlivet
We all know Scotland is famous for its whisky, but this experience by distillers Glenlivet promises to be like no other.
Hidden in a secret space in the Edinburgh Cocktail Week village this is a 30-minute sensory experience with a light show and curated music.
£10 gets you three drams, three mini cocktails and thee popping cocktail capsules.
Cocktails & Comedy
8th and 9th October, various times
Relax and have a laugh at The Stand Comedy Club with a four-act show from Marc Jennings, Mike Milligan, Bylgja Babýlons, Mark Nelson, Gus Lymburn, and host Jay Lafferty.

Alcohol Free Cocktail Yoga
Saturday 8th and 16th October
11am – 12.30pm
£20 per person
Unwind with Scotland’s first distilled alcohol-free spirit Feragaia in a relaxing 45-minute yoga session followed with 45-minute brand experience with alcohol-free cocktails.
All this along with spectacular views of Edinburgh Castle from the Apex Grassmarket Hotel.
Cocktail Afternoon Tea
Friday 7th – Sunday 16th October
12pm – 4pm daily
£55 per person (available exclusively to ECW wristband-holders)
Add some glamour to your Edinburgh Cocktail Week experience with afternoon tea at the iconic 5-star Waldorf Astoria Hotel Edinburgh.
Enjoy two cocktails with a selection of delicious sandwiches, scones, decadent treats and over thirty varieties of tea.
