Caipiroska Recipe

Ingredients

50ml Vodka

5-10ml Sugar Syrup (sweeten to taste)

1 Lime

Method

Cut the lime into wedges (approximately 6 wedges), add it to a mixing glass or cocktail shaker with the sugar syrup and muddle gently to release the lime juice. Add the vodka and some ice to the mixing glass or cocktail shaker and mix gently to combine all ingredients.  Pour all ingredients from the mixing glass into a tumbler glass to serve.

ABOUT THE CAIPIROSKA

Ppronounced “kai-pi-ros-kah”, it is a very simple cocktail containing just three ingredients and it’s based on Brazil’s most popular cocktail, the Caipirinha.  A Caipirinha uses a traditional Brazilian spirit called cachaça, whereas a Caipiroska substitutes this with vodka. 

The Caipiroska is becoming much more popular not only in Brazil but in South American countries in general. This is due to the emergence of more vodka brands entering the South American markets and increasing the demand for vodka-based cocktails.
