TELL US ABOUT THE APPLE CIDER MIMOSA
Loved by many, the Mimosa is a simple drink but despite this the number of flavour combinations make it a great cocktail for the home bartender.
Simply switching the base ingredients can result in some amazing variations, just like the Apple Cider Mimosa.
The original Mimosa is thought to have been invented in 1925, at the Ritz Hotel in Paris.
Similar to the Buck’s Fizz, invented at the Buck’s Club in 1921, the original Mimosa contains orange juice and Champagne.
The difference between the two drinks is the quantity of the ingredients, with the Mimosa going for a 50/50 split.
The Apple Cider Mimosa can be enjoyed at all times of the year but makes for an especially punchy Autumn brunch treat.
EXPERT TIP
If you want to reduce the amount of sugar in the drink, replace the syrup for water. Dipping the top of the glass in water will mean the sugar and cinnamon mix will still stick to the glass.
